| It's been a busy 3 weeks since we've last checked in. We enjoyed Catholic Schools Week along with a snow day during that week. On Student Appreciation Day we enjoyed a hot lunch provided by parents, and we were able to bring a blanket and stuffed animal to school for our DEAR time. DEAR stands for Drop Everything And Read. It was nice to get comfortable while reading. We began our 40 days of sacrifice and service on Ash Wednesday. Along with the 7th and 8th grades, we made fleece tie blankets for those who have experienced traumatic events. We will be donating the blankets to area law enforcement agencies that will give the blankets to those in need. We are continuing to work on our Festival of Nations research projects. The reports we are writing are teaching us a lot of information. One student told me, "This is actually a fun project!" |
